"Everybody said it was the best poster we have had. Can't wait till next year." Those kind praises came from festival board member Nancy Paige.

As has come to be expected, the Pecan Festival welcomed bushels of visitors to its 40th celebration of all things pecan. With the Queen's Ball, the Grand Parade, carnival rides, a street dance, pie eating contest, fireworks and lots of live performers, this year's festival proved why it's still going strong after four decades. Here's to a crackin' good time had by all!
