Held the first weekend in November, the Louisiana Pecan Festival brings more than 60,000 visitors to the small town of Colfax. The festival, which grew out of Grant Parish's centennial celebration, commemorates its 40th year in 2009. Because of this special event, the folks at the festival asked KJA to develop a special anniversary edition of the poster.

For 23 years, the festival's 'official' posters have been created mostly by local artists who depicted scenes from the area and the festival itself. KJA decided, for its 40th year, to commission an original watercolor to highlight the many pecan product offerings available at the festival.
