RT Morgan at The Town Talk took readers ‘Behind the Counter’ here at KJA. Nice article, giving props to Sha’nah and the Wall.
As for the Wall of Random Koolnez, it's exactly as it sounds, a random display of artistic coolness as put together by one of KJA's resident artists. Currently, the wall bears the creative designs of Sha'nah Morrison, the firm's multimedia director and the wall's first designer.
David Crain, KJA's creative director, said the rotating display started as more of a place for arbitrary pieces of art, but, gradually, it took on its form of Koolnez. It's a display that both he and Pugh encourage the public to come and see. Check out the rest of it here...
The Wall began as a means of fostering creativity among our team members. We know that without enrichment, creativity fizzles out. Bites the dust. Gives up the ghost.
So for our own good - we instituted the Wall.
What began as a kind of internal bulletin board hosting various bits and pieces we found interesting, inspiring, quirky and cool - evolved. So for the next 12 months the Wall will showcase the creative fancies of our designers.
And because quite often the outside world finds what we consider “normal” to be pretty fascinating - we’ve opened this venture up for community viewing. Which means you’re invited to stop by and take a quick peek - or hang out and soak it all in.
Sha'nah made the first Kool wall. Outside her day job as a web-guru, she expresses her creativity in a variety of ways, including: Traditional Painting, Fiber Arts, Original Jewelry Design, Fractal Design, Photography and Sculpture. (She is one talented chick.)
So drop by, check it out! It’s free. You don’t need reservations. And we’re here weekdays 8 to 5.
We’re pretty certain you’ll see some things you’ve never seen…which is always cool.
